
What you need to know about the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the Nokia 6 and Nokia 6 Plus
The latest Android 6 and 6 Plus firmware is available to download via Google Play and is now available to purchase on Nokia’s own website for $14.99.
The new firmware, codenamed Cl6, will arrive alongside the Nokia Lumia 930 smartphone, which is also currently available for pre-order.
In a blog post, Nokia explained the changes to Android 6 Marshmallow for the devices:In addition to adding a new camera app, the company also introduced a new UI for the new Nokia 6, making it a much more seamless experience for new users.
“Nokia has made significant changes to the design of the Nokia 5, Nokia 6 in particular.
These changes will make the phone feel more user-friendly, more powerful and more comfortable to use,” the company explained.”
The camera app will now offer quick-take images for the camera on both the front and rear cameras and a dedicated mode for taking quick selfies.
We have also introduced an improved navigation experience, with more convenient access to our maps, contacts, and notifications.
Finally, we’ve added a new, more personal interface, designed to make the experience even more personal.”
The new camera apps, which are available to all Nokia users, will also include a new “Nokia Camera” app, which will allow users to take photos with their own custom lenses and also show them in a gallery with a gallery of images.
The Nokia 6 is the latest smartphone to get a new firmware version, and has already been available to pre-buy on Nokia-owned stores for around $20.
