Android smartphones are cooler than ever
The iPhone 6S, 6S Plus, and 6S Max all scored well in our climate test, and the iPhone 6 is now the warmest smartphone on the market.
The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S7 all scored slightly better.
But if you need a smartphone that’s as powerful as the Galaxy S8 or the Galaxy Note 8, the iPhone 7 Plus is the best.
It’s also the cheapest smartphone available right now, so you should consider it if you’re looking for a good budget option.
But let’s look at the other contenders.
The HTC 10 is the hottest smartphone on Earth, with an Android-powered HTC Sense 6.0 that’s capable of reading text on a screen that’s nearly six inches wide and four inches tall.
It also features a large, 12.5mm wide fingerprint sensor that works in a similar way to Apple’s Touch ID fingerprint scanner.
And the new HTC 10 Plus is another Android phone with a larger display that packs an AMOLED panel with 1,440 x 720 pixels resolution, 4.5 megapixel cameras, and an octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor that can deliver impressive battery life.
In our climate-testing, the HTC 10 did surprisingly well with a temperature of 99 degrees Celsius, which is the same as the iPhone and the Galaxy X’s 102 degrees.
It scored similarly well with our air temperature score, with our iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Max topping out at 100 and 99 degrees respectively.
If you’re considering a new smartphone, HTC’s flagship is still a great buy.
But don’t take our word for it: If you want a good-looking smartphone with a powerful processor, this is the phone for you.
